The stunning West Coast Trail traces 75 km of coastline on the south-western edge of Vancouver Island. This popular backpacking trail was originally named the┬áDominion Lifesaving Trail in the early 1900’s as it was used to rescue shipwreck survivors caught by storms in the notorious Graveyard of the Pacific. Today it is a part of┬áPacific Rim National Park, and enjoyed by many outdoor enthusiasts!
