Project Coastline is honoured to have Damian Foxall representing as a lead VIP speaker for Project Coastline Quebec. On January 27th, Foxall will hand off two canoe paddles to École secondaire De Rochelle in Quebec City and inspire new Canadian youth at the school to get inspired and take action with the Project Coastline School Challenge.
Damian Foxall currently works as the Recreation Education Manager at Canadian Wildlife Federation and has more than 35 years of ocean racing experience, spending most of his life on the water. In that time, he’s logged 400,000 nautical miles as a professional sailor, participated in 18 trans-Atlantic and nine round the world races. Having spent a lifetime at sea has given Damian a unique perspective on the importance of our connections with the oceans. Oceans make up the majority of our world but are out of sight and out of mind for most. As regular boaters and water goers we all play a crucial role as ambassadors and stewards of this habitat. Damian’s role with the Canadian Wildlife Federation encourages us all to get outside and enjoy our waterways, coastline and oceans. CWF education programs such as CWF Wild about Sports and CWF Best practices provide Inspiration, opportunity, training and resources for all to get involved and take action.
